We’re delighted to announce that our oral reading fluency product, SoapBox Fluency, has won the prestigious 2022 Tech Edvocate award for Best AI/Machine Learning tool.
This award for SoapBox Fluency recognizes our team’s laser-focused commitment to building automated speech recognition (ASR) that effectively tackles the global literacy crisis by automating the process of listening and providing detailed and real-time feedback at scale on children’s individual reading progress, fluency, and comprehension skills.
SoapBox Fluency powers oral reading fluency for students at all stages of the reading journey — from phonics to reading fluency and comprehension — and offers a level of accuracy across accents and dialects that is on a par with humans.
With SoapBox Fluency, educators receive the accurate, phoneme-level data they need to identify where intervention, screening, or more personalized instruction could benefit a young student and improve their learning outcomes.
As part of our submission to the awards, the Tech Edvocate judges were given access to test the SoapBox Fluency product themselves, and to upload children’s audio reading samples to be assessed in real time by our voice engine. This access is regularly offered to clients who wish to assess the potential of our voice engine to power their specific literacy or language learning related use case. Get started to request access to our demo portal.
Many thanks to Tech Edvocate for this wonderful recognition, and congratulations to all finalists and winners across all categories of these prestigious awards!
