SoapBox Labs is delighted to announce that US edtech industry veteran, Jonathan Hume, will lead our business development activities in the US market. Jonathan has spent the last 15 years in business development roles, specializing for the last 10 in education technology, thanks to the influence of his mother, a long time teacher.
“Jonathan is a highly regarded leader in education technology in the US and has been an enthusiastic supporter of SoapBox Labs since the beginning” says Founder and CEO Dr. Patricia Scanlon. “As pioneering edtech companies like Amplify adopt our Fluency solution, it’s clear that the market for voice-enabled assessments is at an inflection point and will accelerate rapidly. The team here at SoapBox is excited to work with John to unlock many new opportunities in the US market”.
Jonathan has led sales and marketing teams at edtech company Abl and spent seven years building global sales teams and channel partnerships at Schoology. At SoapBox Labs, he will work closely with COO, Dr. Martyn Farrows, who drives our business development efforts globally.
Jonathan has a deep passion for companies with the potential to change the world. He believes in the transformative power of voice technology for kids, and says he sees a “tremendous opportunity for SoapBox Labs to become the leader in accuracy and privacy-driven voice tech for kids across the world”.
Jonathan and his wife Cameron recently moved from San Francisco, CA to Jackson, WY to pursue their love of the outdoors whether fly fishing the Snake River, hiking and snowshoeing in Grand Teton National Park, or skiing the steep terrain.
