Meet us at SXSW EDU 2022

February 24, 2022

Rectangle Circle

SXSW EDU, one of the leading international conferences for education and edtech innovators, is just around the corner.

Our VP of Speech Technology, Dr. Amelia Kelly, will be in Austin to meet with anyone interested in learning about voice technology in preK-12 education and to participate in two important assessment- and instruction-related panels.

Meet our VP of Speech Tech at SXSW EDU

Amelia will also be meeting with SoapBox customers and education community players.

If you’re attending too, we invite you to schedule an in-person meeting with Amelia to learn about our speech technology for kids ages 2 – 12 and how it’s powering many of the preK-12 tools McGraw Hill, Amplify, and others are bringing out for back to school 2022.

Our SXSW EDU panels

SoapBox will also be presenting at two panels on voice-powered assessment and instruction tools — make sure you check them out.

What my kid taught me about edtech during COVID

Tuesday, March 8 at 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. CT (in-person and live-streamed)

This panel brings together leaders in the edtech field, who are also parents to school-age children, to explore how their lived experiences during the pandemic are shaping — or reshaping — their vision for the field moving forward.

Can speech recognition help kids learn to read?

Thursday, March 10 at 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. CT (in-person only)

Child-specific speech technology holds the potential to support every learner in developing critical literacy skills. This panel explores the evolution of speech recognition for children, as well as the potential applications and risks of this technology for educators and learners alike.

We hope to see you at SXSW EDU 2022! For any questions about meeting with us at the conference or our two panels, email us at
